Sunday Dinner

Today we went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa's (Lois and Harley) for lunch-delicious! I feel really blessed to have them in my life-they have such great advice and stories and they're so easy to talk to. I really enjoy the time that we get to spend with them.

Six Month Well Check

Logan had his six month well check on Thursday and it went very well. He is up to 18 pounds (50th percentile) and he's 27.5 inches tall (90th percentile). He did have to get six shots though :( which is partially my fault-I told them to go ahead and give him a flu shot-I figured we might as well get it since he was already getting so many. I didn't know that when infants get their first flu shot they have to have two-so we have to go back in a month to get the second flu shot-bummer!

Teeth Brushing

Working in surgery I see a lot of children come in to have teeth extracted or have other dental work done because they don't get proper dental care at home. I have made it my mission to make sure this doesn't happen to us-so I've started brushing Logan's teeth :) He's pretty good about it which isn't surprising because he'll put anything in his mouth-except fruit. He's a strange one-he doesn't like fruit-he was like this with veggies until we got to carrots and then he started eating all kinds of veggies. Keep your fingers crossed that he starts liking fruit!
Nebraska played Washington today-and we won-yay! We had Mark and Beth over for chili (it was quite cool here today) we had a great time watching the game, eating junk, and watching Logan roll around the room.
Otherwise not a whole lot going on here-just working-a lot-I've had some long days lately. And it's about to get worse-we're about to hit the busy season. It will be interesting to see how pumping will fit into the schedule. So far everyone has been really great about it-they make sure to get me out for breaks if cases are getting too long. Unfortunately Logan likes to bite-we've had a couple of episodes-the latest one was this morning when he bit me-it didn't hurt but I flicked his mouth and he laughed, I then hit his mouth with my fingers (not hard or anything) and he laughed again. He definitely has a lot of Jared in him! It's so hard not to laugh with him though-he's just so cute-I have a feeling he's going to walk all over me when he gets older.
