Flowers Are A'bloomin

I am in love with my house right now. The lady that lived here before us did such a great job with the landscaping-it's just beautiful! The best thing about it is I didn't have to plant any of it and all of the plants are perennials. It's like she read my mind-there are trees and plants that I've always wanted-a hibiscus, this one bush I don't know the name of :) with really pretty light pink flowers that have a magenta center (gorgeous!), a burning maple tree, a tree that has papery bark, tulips, and lots more.

Day lillies-this picture isn't very good-they're a really pretty dark orange

More lillies and Devaney!

Day Out with Daddy

Work has been really slow lately so I took the day off. Logan and I went downtown to visit Jared at work and to have lunch at Old Chicago's. It was a great afternoon-and it was really nice seeing everyone at the shop.

Sleep

If anyone has noticed me acting funny such as not finishing my conversations, talking like a hillbilly :), putting laundry in the washing maching but not putting the lid down so it can start (Jared!) it's because I don't sleep anymore. I've given it up cold turkey. It's not that Logan gets up a lot at night or anything-I'm just beyond crazy about having enough milk for him-so I get up to pump. The craziness is because I don't sleep longer than three hours at a time. I hope when Logan grows up he truly loves me for the sacrafices that I've made for him. :)

It's Cereal Time

Well we tried cereal today and it didn't go very well. As soon as I put the spoon in Logan's mouth he spit the cereal out. Towards the end he was starting to move it around in his mouth and make some really funny faces. He might not be quite ready yet but we'll try again tomorrow night.

Isn't my bib snazzy?

I'm not so sure about this...

Mmmmm...

Logan's Four Month Well Check

Logan had his four month well check today. He is 15 pounds 11.6 ounces-so he's in the 75 percentile for weight. He's 27 inches long which is in the 97 percentile for height!! And of course he had four shots and one vaccine by mouth-yuck! Other than that his appointment went well. We've been given the okay for rice cereal and if he does okay on that for a week or so we'll start veggies. He's getting so big so fast!

The Most Beautiful Sound

Logan's laugh is the most beautiful sound in the world-it literally brings tears to my eyes to hear it-I can't get enough!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th of July. The 4th of July is a very special day for me and Jared because exactly one year ago we found out (after trying for quite some time) that we were pregnant with Logan. Sitting and watching the fireworks brought me back to that day and how excited and kind of scared we were to become parents. And to think that was only one year ago-my how things change!

Logan's newest way to entertain himself is to sit in his rocker and kick so he can see his dangling bugs dance-it's pretty cute!
