My Favorite Things in January

Here are some things that I found/received that were my favorite in January.

My new Pottery Barn Calendar Command Center-so handy!

These Vince Camuto wedges that were on super clearance at Dillard's. (They retail for $98 I got them for $30) Sometimes it pays to have big feet :)

This Nook cover by Belkin-so cute and pink. The flap folds around the back and the strap secures it while in use.

Messy Boy

One of Logan's favorite things to do is get out all of our Tupperware, pots and pans, and silverware (just the spoons!) and "cook." It's hilarious! Plus the dog seems to enjoy it :)

Office Command Center

My new favorite thing in our office is this Pottery Barn Calendar center. This thing is so handy-it helps Jared and I keep track of what days I'm off/late, Logan's appointments, our appointments, etc.

Preemie Hat-On My Needles

My co worker's niece was born 10 weeks early. She asked if I could make her a hat that would fit her; she's 4 lbs. I really love how this turned out!! After the duck I needed something to work out in my favor :)

Duck Blanket Revisited

Stupid Duck-I really hate the duck blanket that I made-so I changed his beak. I'm not sure if I like it anymore or not but here it is.

On My Needles

I've been working on the second half of my gift for my co-worker who is expecting twins. I have to say I'm not as happy with the duck as I am the pig but it still turned out pretty cute. I hope she likes it! On to the next project!

Happy New Year!!

This time of year is a great time to reflect on the things that you've learned over the past year-and what you need to change. I was looking at my post from last year and the resolutions that I made-I think I did pretty well.

My first one was to chill out-I think I've done okay with this (except at work)-Logan's sleeping better so I'm not as sleep deprived as I once was.

My second one was to drop some weight or maintain what I had lost due to breastfeeding-this one so didn't happen-I have to say I'm not surprised and not that upset-I weigh what I did before I got pregnant. I am working out on a regular basis though so hopefully this year will be better.

My third resolution was to stop using acne medication-I've done this and my skin isn't perfect yet but it's looking pretty darn good. (See my previous entry)

So this year I've decided to bring on a couple more resolutions and see if I can stick to them.

My first one is to stop cussing-this one will be the hardest one of them all-especially at work :)

My second one is to exercise more. I really wanted to set a mileage goal for myself for running but I'm not a fan of running in the cold and it's cold here 6 months out of the year if not more so maybe I'll put a goal weight and set it at 130 lbs. I think I can do this-we'll see.

My third goal is to pay off my credit cards-I don't have a huge amount of debt but I don't want any on credit.

So that's it! I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year!

My Favorite Things in December

Here are a couple of things that I found in the month of December and love!!

My new nook! Jared's Christmas/Anniversary present to me-I'm now addicted to Scrabble :)

This Old Navy coat that I bought-the original price was $49.95-I bought it for $12.48!! I was looking for a pea coat but I'm not that big of a fan of the wool ones (I know I'm a knitter and am supposed to love wool-but it's really scratchy!) so this one in fleece is perfect!

These amazing cloths are clearing up my skin wonderfully. I realized one day that when I was telling someone about how Logan has really sensitive skin that I probably do too-duh! So I stopped using all of the acne products and starting using Olay sensitive cloths and creams, I changed my clothing detergent to the free and clear stuff for sensitive skin and I'm really noticing a difference-it only took me 12 years and a kid to make me realize it. :)

This awesome handbag from American Eagle. I was trying to find some clothes on sale but instead I found this adorable bag. It was originally $49.99 but I got it for $20.99-who doesn't love a sale?

There were many other things that I loved in December; spending time with loved ones, dropping five pounds (oh yeah baby), and watching Logan love the magic of Christmas (the lights, the music and the decorations! There were also things that I didn't like so much-all of the overtime put in at work, even though my wallet really liked it!

I hope everyone had a really great Christmas-I know that the Scott's did!
