Yay to Carrots!!

Logan has finally found a vegetable that he likes and it's Carrots!!!! No surprise there-Jared loves carrots-I do too but not cooked ones-yuck! He's doing really well with rice cereal-he eats some every night before he nurses/goes to bed. I've been kind of laying off vegetables just because he didn't seem really interested. But today I decided I would try them again. Hopefully this continues!

The teeth are here and he's sitting up!!!

Logan's teeth are finally through. On Tuesday (my day off) I was trying to get some cleaning done and he just wouldn't have it-I had to hold him almost all day or let him sit in his chair or in his jumper and let him cry while I cleaned something really quick. I did eventually put him in the Moby wrap (which is the most amazing invention ever!!) he really enjoys that.

Another milestone we can check off is that Logan is sitting up by himself-not for really long periods of time but he's learning to put his hands out if he starts falling over so that he can catch himself. I can't believe he's going to be six months old in 13 days-it's going so fast!!!!

OMG Teeth!

Logan is getting his first teeth-his bottom front TWO!! (Every nursing mother's nightmare!) They're not quite through but I can see them and feel them-ouch. I was actually surprised to see them-he hasn't been acting particularly crabby. There was one night that he was up a couple of times but other than that he's been sleeping pretty good and eating A LOT.

Logan has become quite the typist-he loves the noise the keyboard makes so every now and then we let him go crazy. Maybe I'll let him type up a post. :)

Another thing that he's been doing that's funny is when he hears something loud such as the vacuum cleaner or me singing (I sing quite loud when no one is around to hear it) he'll cover his ears-it's hilarious. It's not that he doesn't enjoy it-he smiles the whole time it's just loud :). Well that's what I tell myself anyways.

Speaking of loud-he's really into screaming for no reason at all-he'll just be sitting in his jumper or in his seat and he'll just scream. Let's hope it's a phase.

All Gone

So... I cut my hair...and I mean I really cut my hair. Eleven inches to be exact-hopefully someone else will be able to have a beautiful head of hair (Locks of Love). It may be a little short but it's so easy and I don't have to spend ten extra minutes in the shower trying to get all of the stray hairs off of me (gross-I know). Now I can look forward to all of the awkward stages of growing it out-and no- I'm not posting pictures :)

Cereal!!!/Birthday Present

We tried cereal again tonight and he ate it!!! Yay!!! Before I even made the cereal I tried putting a spoon in front of his mouth to see if he would even open up for it-and he did-good sign. I made the cereal really runny just so it would be more like eating breast milk-and as he ate I added a little more cereal to make it a little thicker. Hopefully he'll continue eating for us.

For my birthday Jared went and bought the glass fronted cabinet that I loved when we went furniture shopping the other day. I absolutely love it! I've been wanting a cabinet like this so I could display my wedding bouquet, album, and other wedding paraphernalia.

Kisses, Dada, Hi

For a couple of weeks now Logan has been saying dadadada-but today-distinctly he said Da da and what sounds like Hi-it's so cute!!! He also has been giving lots of kisses and hugs-he'll actually grab my face-usually pull me down to him by my ears and give me a big wet sloppy kiss-I love it!! He also will give hugs-I always give him "squeezes" and he'll actually squeeze back.

I have to say that it's so rewarding when I pick Logan up from daycare-when he saw me today his face lit up and he started laughing-the best sound in the entire world. Being a mom is the best!

Day Off

Today was a busy day for us. Since Jared's building isn't open yet (a support beam collapsed and hit the sprinkler system-no one was hurt-just a little flooding and a couple of days off for the licorice crew) we had the whole day together-which was great. My car had a recall on the ignition coils so we took it up to VW to have it fixed. When we got there-the service rep told us that my car had five recalls!! So while my car was being fixed Jared, Logan, and I went and ate at Cracker Barrel (Yum!) and did a little browsing at some of our favorite furniture stores in north Lincoln.

Just a little update on Logan-he still isn't liking food. We even moved on from the cereal (which I tasted and it tastes pretty good to me!) and tried green beans (these don't taste good-I don't blame him for not liking them!) and he doesn't like those either-I think that maybe it's just too early. We'll keep trying!
